Marg Helgenberger was an American actor who came to the limelight for her performance as Siobhan Ryan on the TV series 'Ryan's Love'. Her journey from a small town girl to Hollywood was fascinating. In her early days she was not aspired of being an actor. She wanted to follow into her mother's footsteps, and eventually become a nurse. She became interested in acting when she visited colleges to figure out which career path she would pursue. When she was performing in a university show, she was discovered by a talent agent who encouraged her to think about pursuing a professional acting career. After a stint in the film 'Ryan's hope and "China Beach" as well as many others notable television and film roles, establishing her position as an actor. One of her highest acclaimed role was as a chemical exposure victim in the cult film 'Erin Brockovich'. Despite a hectic schedule, Marg manages to make an effort to donate time to charities. She also hosts a golf tournament every year with celebrities that raises money for awareness of breast cancer. Marg's mum is a breast-cancer patient, and battled cancer for more than 27 years.
